Earlier this week, a jury of my peers acquitted me of all charges stemming from false accusations. The jury found the allegations against me unsubstantiated, and I am grateful that justice has been served.
Let me be clear: I have never abused anyone, nor have I engaged in any extra-marital affair. I have always conducted myself in accordance with halachic standards of tzniyus, a fact that was made clear during the course of the trial.
Unfortunately, this case was not simply about an accusation. Certain individuals actively interfered in the process—engaging in blackmail, attempting to fabricate evidence, pressuring prosecutors, and spreading sensationalized stories about me and my family in the media. These actions were false, reckless, and damaging.
Despite the fact that I was exonerated nearly 5 days ago of all charges, these individuals continue to spread malicious lies about me and my family online, and continue to display false and misleading posts on their websites and social media.
Throughout the trial, I remained silent in the face of these misrepresentations because the legal process required it. Now that the verdict has been delivered, it is important to set the record straight.
As a community, we must take the issue of sexual abuse seriously and confront it wherever it occurs—within the framework of truth and the law. But fabricating claims, disrupting proceedings, and engaging in intimidation tactics undermine real advocacy and endanger the very people true activists seek to protect.
I am grateful to my family, my community, and my legal team for their unwavering support during this ordeal. My hope now is to move forward in peace, with this chapter finally behind us.
